USA v. Sweden

In Sweden:

1. You have to pay for the bags in the grocery store. And pack them yourself. And put a deposit coin in the shopping cart. All this I've forgotten...
2. You need to show your id when you use a credit card.
3. If it's 50F in the morning, it will be 55F in the afternoon, not 75F.
4. The orange juice is made from concentrate.
5. The bread's "best-before-date" is less than a week after it's baked.
6. We use our bikes. Unfortunately, my "cycling muscles" seem to have disappeared...
7. You can't turn right during red light.
8. The TV only has 15 channels.
9. You don't have to pay any tips.

One week in Sweden

After one week in Sweden, I can just tell you that life is kind of chaotic (and busy...). The container with our furniture arrived Friday, we now have boxes everywhere. The kids have been one week in school. "Easy" is the only comment from Filip. Who by the way behaves as teenager nowdays (Not talking to us, and spending all time with his friends...). Oskar seems happy too. Fredrik is a stay-home-dad and is busier than ever... We have no Internet access (are using our neighbors wireless network), and no phone... But at least we have a house...

And me? Yes, it feels SO good to have a work, and not have to bother about the kids in the morning! Fredrik takes care of everything, and I believe he's a much better stay-home-dad than I'm a stay-home-mom...

Back in Sweden!

Ok, I will give Seattle some credit, the city looked much better in sunny weather... The last day, we walked around the Pike Market, before we headed out to the airport. The flight home was easy, and Friday afternoon we stood outside our house again. It felt both good and really strange. I think it will take some days before we realize that we've actually moved back. The kids have played with their friends since we came home. But, I don't know how they can make themselves understood, they still speak English to everyone... And, they were happy to see that their two favorite TV-channels, Animal Planet and Discovery Channel, were on our Swedish TV as well!
